Business Privilege Tax – The business privilege tax is the tax levy for the privilege of doing business in the Borough of Sewickley. The tax is the rate of tax on each and every dollar of a business transaction within the corporation limits of the Borough, and shall be 1 mil. Shall mean $1.00 per $1,000.00 of gross. placed upon the earnings, collected by Berkheimer Associates.

Earned Income Tax – Earned income tax is the tax placed upon earnings of individuals who reside in Sewickley Borough. It is one (1%) percent of the earnings made by that individual. Half of the 1% goes to Sewickley Borough and half of the 1% goes to the Quaker Valley School System, and begining January 1, 2012, is collected by Keyston Collections Group.

Per Capita Tax – The per capita tax is a tax levy of $5.00 against each resident or inhabitant of the Borough over the age of 18 years old. Jordan Tax Service Inc., the Deputy Tax Collector collects this tax. The tax bill is mailed out in early March.

Local Services Tax - The emergency & municipal tax is a tax in the amount of $52.00 levied upon the privilege of engaging in an occupation within the Borough during the course of a year. Each person who exercises such privilege for any length of time shall pay the tax when an individual has gross annual earnings of $12,000 or more during the subject calendar year. The tax is collected by Berkheimer Associates.
