On Saturday, May 19th, American Legion Post 4 will be distributing poppies around Sewickley from 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m.

The red crepe paper poppies are handmade by veterans and are distributed in exchange for donations that go directly to assist disabled and hospitalized veterans in our communities.

Meetings are scheduled the 3rd Monday of each month, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

When the US Flag becomes worn, torn or badly soiled, the flag should be "retired" with dignity and respect.  A Flag Retirement Ceremony will take place on Broad Street, by Wolcott Park, followed by Patriotic Music & Fireworks on Friday, May 25.  Flags can be dropped off on the second floor of the Municipal Building, 601 Thorn Street, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Ceremony Begins: 6:00 pm

Patriotic Music:  7:00 pm
