Highlights of the May 8, 2018 Borough of Sewickley Council Meeting

  • Council adopted Borough of Sewickley Resolution 2018-005 adopting the National Incident Management System for Sewickley in regards to emergency management.
  • Council awarded the 2018 Revised Road Project to A. Liberoni Inc., of 459 Davidson Road, Plum PA.  to resurface Elwick Street and patch curb repair and 150 lineal feet of storm pipe; to resurface Canterbury Lane; storm sewer upgrades on Charette Place with pavement restoration; resurfacing scratch coat of Dickson Road (Nevin Road to hairpin turn); resurfacing scratch coat of 200 feet of Farren Street; resurfacing of Thorn Street from Academy Avenue to Little Street; and resurfacing of Beaver Road from Academy Avenue to Grimes Street.
  • Council granted permission for the sale of Christmas Trees in Park Place near Walnut Street.
  • Council granted permission for Lula’s Restaurant to use a small portion of Division Street for 14 consecutive Fridays beginning on June 1, 2018. 
  • Council received Liquid Fuels Tax Fund Payment in the amount of $124,455.01.
  • Council authorized participation again in the Duquesne Light LED Street Lighting Conversion Program with submission of 28 locations.
  • Council established Tuesday, July 10 at 5:15 p. m. for NIMS training by the Allegheny County Emergency Management Offices.
  • President Jeff Neff appointed the following to the Borough of Sewickley Police Negotiations Committee:   Jeff Neff, Todd Renner and Larry Rice.
